Guest guest
I've never posted to a large group, bear with me. My name is Melissa and I'm a 38yr. old (newly pregnant) vegetarian sugarholic. Sugar has been the ruling force in my life for as young as I can remember. At age 4yrs. old I remember gorging on pie after eating a full meal, and eventually getting so sick I vomited. Everything and all events after that have revolved around sugar and sugar binging. I bought SARP several years ago and immediately knew that this was the answer to my questions about my sugarholic lifestyle. I comprehended that I needed to make drastic changes to survive but I tried doing it MY WAY for several years-failure resulted time and time again. Now, with pregnancy #6 and an entire family (not to mention myself) at their wits end with an emotional mama, I am ready to do this program!!! I am ready to do the steps IN ORDER, and ONE AT A TIME. I am also ready to receive online support since I have little true, daily support in my life that understands and can give a wise word of encouragement. I am also gluten/dairy intolerant and cannot eat eggs (pregnancy gaggish) so I rely on protein-rich raw food pates and entrees. I find these to be a great addition to an apparently ridiculously restricted diet. I am really anxious to get to know everyone and hope I can be of help and encouragement to others as well. Thanks, Melissa P.S. Are there others with food allergies/intolerances?

My parents impressed me as a child that breakfast was the most important meal of the day so I always eat breakfast with some form of protein. I do, however, need to work on timing. I am eating 2 -21/2 hours after I awake. Too long!! I also need to adjust my protein a bit to ensure I am getting enough to hold me until mid-morning. Step one is a good step and I'm glad the habit was set long ago. It's that consistent journaling that gets me...but that is for another time, thankfully! Melissa P.S. I am composing a breakfast list for myself to use next week. A bit more planning is required to make this work! > > > > > > ____________________ ______________ > Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell. > http://searchmarketing./ > >
Guest guest
fantastic observations Melissa baby step breakfast as you need to. It took me awhile - I thought I was perfect and I had a bit adrift! didnt realise how important time and correct protein were to me... you are so right - journal is there for you later and it wont be worrying then with breakfast supporting you. what sort of protein and brown do you enjoy? Im impressed by your organisation. Always been a bit of a planner myself. It helped me lots. mosaic , " teach4withlove " <mmeast wrote: > > Sharon and Mosaic, > > Thanks for the greeting! Guest guest
- Thank you for the welcome Sharon and Mosaic, This is my second post this morning to this group. Posting does not seem to work through Microsoft Outlook. I am a big advocate of breakfast and have always eaten a good breakfast with some protein. I see though that I need to work on timing. Currently I eat breakfast 2-2 1/2 hours after waking up. I am also compiling a list of good foods for breakfast that are not so traditional. By the way, what are the 4 steps for breakfast? Eager to learn! Melissa p.s. I would love to share my favorite raw pates and dishes-- absolutely declicious and with great protein! Coming soon... -- In , " mosaic " <mosaic58 wrote: > > Lovely to meet you Melissa > congratulations on babe no 6! > Do you eat breakfast usually? what sort of things do you like to eat? > Do you need any help with any of the 4 parts of breakfast? > > I often have shake as its easy but I love 'dinner food' for breakfast > as well! > > Your pates sound good- got some nice ones to share I hope! oh and > allergies often sort out by themselves as you go along so dont worry > too much right now > see you soon > mosaic > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hey Melissa!! Sounds like you and I are kindred spirits. I'm a serious sugar feind- guess we all would need to be to be here:) But I'm also a new vegetarian. Suring the journall phase I realized that eating animal meat made me ill (I wich it was so easy with candy). So for the last 6 weeks I've been experiment- and I feel great on a veggie diet- I feel best when I eat vegan but that's too hard just know. I have celac's disease and am intolerant of many dairy products. Congrats on the pregnancy!!! Beth

Guest guest
Hi Beth, Glad to meet you! I have been eating gluten free for about 7 months only. It has literally changed my life--energy, better mental clarity and emotional stability, etc. I don't think I would be here making this change without having made that change first. One thing leads to another... I am only on step one. I have thought for years now that I took pretty good care of myself but after watching myself closely for the last several weeks I can honestly say that I am quite detached! It takes a lot of effort to initiate good " mother care. " Eat breakfast within an hour...eat breakfast within an hour... my mantra! I forgot to mention I should be staying away from all dairy products but I fudge (no pun intended) with it all the time too! In response to what's for breakfast... I am keeping whole grain cereals in my Ziroushi rice cooker all the time... warm millet, polenta, brown rice, quinoa and I eat it with beans or nuts or a raw pate. I cannot believe how well the Ziroushi keeps the grains perfectly warm and texture happy for 2 days. It is one of my staple kitchen tools and is well worth every penny! Ahhh, I checked the clock...breakfast time!! Beth, I have all kinds of resources for cookbooks and recipes that are program friendly. I'm happy to share! Happy day to everyone!
