Guest guest
Cinzia and Margie, thanks so much for sharing! I so appreciate your ideas. Cinzia, I have to agree, the delay in mealtime is my greatest challenge and I get up to all sorts to make sure I have a good snack in the right place in such situations. see, what I like is, its different enough from Christmas dinner to be special food, and more importantly a very meaningful sentiment to me. I shall love it. it will be lovely to think of you all on the day ( even though Im some hours ahead time wise we'll all be radiantly thanksgiving together) currently thinking:glamorgan sausages and spanakopita, green bean, sweet potato stuffing, cranberry - I'll try yours Margie. (+extras for omnivores) lots of veggies/salads. Keep your ideas coming for more and also the trials and tribulations side of things! mosaic
Guest guest
Hi! I have been following this little thread and have been so excited at the idea of celebrating Thanksgiving here along with those in America. I don't know why I've never thought of it before - well done Mosaic! I also have SO much to be thankful for and love all that is behind Thanksgiving, plus my husband has a brother (and family) and a sister in the states that we never can see but do all we can to keep in contact with, and it is such a wonderful idea to celebrate this lovely holiday along with them too! Another way to sort of be together while being so far apart. ) So we hope you don't mind us intruding/joining in, but our family will be celebrating along with you too, and are so excited to do so. For us, as we know is the case for our family over there (don't know if others do this or not), it seems so appropriate for our Christmas celebrations to flow on from there this year. How exciting. ) We'll have a think about some good food for our celebration over the next couple of weeks. I am interested in your replies Margie and Cinzia, and welcome anything you have to offer. Happy preparations to all! Ceri On 3 Nov 2007, at 15:23, mosaic wrote: > Cinzia and Margie, thanks so much for sharing!
