Guest guest
Well, just to show how dedicated I am I just watched Gordon Ramsays Kitchen Nightmares. Now, I dont like him much - he is a bit stroppy for me and I like my TV chefs on the gentle side! But tonights programme was turning round a French restaurant in Paris, Piccolo Teatro. Apparently only 2 % of French people are veggie so it relied strongly on the tourist trade. What *impressed* me was that the dishes he produced were higher in protein than the average eating establishment, so he has gone up in my estimation. Tomato soup with cheese on toast for 6 euro as a lunch dish was pretty substantial and I think with lots of lentils added into the soup and ww bread would be a great home dish for us. Dinner dishes were Tomato and Aubergine (eggplant) Gratin (tons of mozzarella) Two bean Chilli ( it sounded so posh being two-bean!) Pea Courgette (zucchini) Goats Cheese Tart Beetroot and Goat Cheese salad if you are interested, google Gordon Ramsay. There are tons of veggie recipes for browsing on the programme site. Many could be adapted to be programme friendly. as it can be tricky getting enough protein when eating out, I have quite warmed to our Gordon LOL I hate to think what he would do to me if he caught me unwrapping babybel in his restaurant - yes I would happily do that, he would probably turn the air blue ! mosaic
