Guest guest
Just looked at the files section, and wondering whether the protein contents listed are COMPLETE proteins? I know some beans, grains and nuts do not contain all the essential amino acids. Also wondering how soon you need to eat partial proteins to ensure the body can use them to create complete protein. One hour? Four hours? One day? Also, could you enlighten this poor mystified Brit: WHAT IS A CUP?? (In English recipes we use ounces or grams). Thanks again Kalina (London)
Guest guest
As far as I'm aware, you do not need to eat all the partial proteins in one meal - it just needs to be over a whole day. You could try the Vegetarian Society website for more information, but I don't know if they go into the detail that you are looking for. I believe that a cup is about 240ml, but as I am also a mystified Brit, I wouldn't take that as gospel. Guest guest
Brooke, Kalina, I dont think we need to worry too much about this. I had a bit of a google and the information out there is very very reassuring! seems the old advice has been reviewed. so I think the steps have it all built-in so we dont have to distract ourselves too much - when we work the steps and get round to putting a green thing, brown thing and protein thing ( whether it be tofu, bean, seitan or whatever) onto our plates - thats it, its all there! makes life a bit easier! hth, mosaic , " burusco " <burusco wrote: > > kalina, > pls let us know if you find out the answers to the questions about > complete proteins.... > > thanks! > brooke >
