Guest guest
Hi, How many of you out there are vegans? Do you have trouble getting enough protein? I'm in the " contemplation " stage but not quite ready to commit. I'm big - thought I needed 42 grams but a while back someone told me I could use a lower percentage and 35 would be enough. That's still a lot. Love to hear from any big vegans out there how you're doing it. Thanks. Karen
Guest guest
Hi Karen, I have thought about being vegan from time to time but I know it would be very difficult for me to retain my steadiness. Personally I find that I need some sort of animal protein, like eggs or cheese, in my diet to keep my steadiness. Tina kegrimm Sat, 26 Jan 2008 16:38:14 +0000 Vegans? Guest guest
I've been a vegan for 6 years but have not always been good about getting enough protein. I'm learning now though after reading PnP, I tend to have a tofu and veg scramble, or oats with berries and nuts or every now and then veggie sausages and beans on wholmeal toast. I do really have to force the food down my throat in the morning, as it always feels like too much but I guess ultimately my body will get used to it. I guess it will be different for each person, I'm just trying different things out to give me some variety and to make sure I am getting enough protein. , Tina Castronovo <tcastronovo18 wrote: > > Hi Karen, > > I have thought about being vegan from time to time but I know it would be very difficult for me to retain my steadiness. Guest guest
Hi there, I'm a little skinny vegan, but I'm not sure I'm committed to counting out my protein so meticulously. I'm sure we could count nuts, right? I eat a lot of nuts and seeds.

Guest guest
Vegetarians don't eat meat, though many do eat dairy products and/or eggs. Some folks sum it up by saying they don't eat things with faces, though I know of some cultures in which fish is considered to be an acceptable part of a vegetarian diet. Vegans don't eat meat, fish, dairy products, eggs, honey, sugar refined with bone char, fish products (including oils), animal-derived gelatin, and some other things I'm probably not thinking of right now.
