Guest guest
I read your post and thought how wise. It read like you were having a focus on breakfast, instead of thinking of the whole picture at once ( thats what I was 'good'at at first ) and it must be easier to think, right:vegan breakfast. looks like you have good ideas. remember if it all feels a bit much, and you're forcing the issue, baby steps is a great idea, nice and steady will get you there comfortably. mosaic , " cinnamon.mcbadger " <genna.mcwhinnie wrote: > > I've been a vegan for 6 years but have not always been good about > getting enough protein. Guest guest
Thanks Mosaic This message board will certainly help for ideas and so I dont get disheartened with it all. I have a lifetime of bad habits and taking things too fast and so therefore 'failing'. I wish to just concentrate on getting my protein at breakfast, then I can move onto the next step. My biggest effort will be to not go 'too fast' [i'm impatient and think I can do it all] but I can already feel the benefits of havinga good breakfast, I have had no mid morning cravings at all for the last three weeks, its great and today my body told me 'it's been about 6 hours since you last ate, lunchtime! feed me! , " mosaic " <mosaic58 wrote: > > I read your post and thought how wise. > It read like you were having a focus on breakfast, instead of > thinking of the whole picture at once ( thats what I was 'good'at > at first ) > > and it must be easier to think, right:vegan breakfast. > looks like you have good ideas. > > remember if it all feels a bit much, and you're forcing the issue, > baby steps is a great idea, nice and steady will get you there > comfortably. > mosaic , " cinnamon.mcbadger " > <genna.mcwhinnie@> wrote: > > > > I've been a vegan for 6 years but have not always been good about > > getting enough protein. Guest guest
Hi Karen, I am not totally a vegan, but my breakfast is and I think it's pretty tasty! Of course you'd have to tweek this to your needs and taste. I hope it helps. Another thing is, that protein powder typically costs about $30 for a 1 lb 5 oz jar. I found it online for $18.50 + free shipping! I don't want to sound like I'm advertising for them; email me if you'd like the details. Good luck finding the right breakfast(s) for you! > > > > Hi, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > How many of you out there are vegans? Do you have trouble > > getting > > > > > > > > enough protein? Guest guest
Hi All I'm in the UK and managed to get a really tasty chocolate flavoured soya protein powder for my morning shake [from Holland and Barrett]. I have it blended with rice milk and half a banana and then I have two small slices of wholemeal toast. Or I have my shake and a small bowl of porridge oats. This does me for the winter months and when summer comes round I'm going to use frozen banana and/or summer berries to blend in with my shake, make it taste like a smoothie!! I'm starting to feel like I'm coming to grips with breakfast so may start to journal, it has been 4-5 weeks since I started on breakfasts and have only had 1 morning so far when I did not manage it and I instantly experienced the 'good old' effects of cravings! I am really starting to feel better, the biggest change is in the lack of urges to snack - if I make sure I get a good breakfast, I really do not want anything till my body tells me it is lunchtime!!! And I am finding I want less of a big meal in the evenings too. I just know that this is the start of something amazing for my health and wellbeing, thanks Kathleen!!! , " anna_ristow " <Sunshine7 wrote: > > Hi Karen, > > I am not totally a vegan, but my breakfast is and I think it's pretty > tasty! > > > > Of course you'd have to tweek this to your needs and taste.
