Today i bought some tofu, im not a good chef but im sure i can fry some up and have it for dinner, any suggestions? i also bought some great bars...they are called 9 bars, they have about 6gms of protein as they are mostly nuts and seeds...can i count these as part of my protein count at a meal does anyone know? I cant find any ww lasagne sheets anywhere ive tried most of the health food stores...maybe i`ll have to learn how to make them myself <smile> Have a friend to stay again later this week...cant wait to try my new improved dahl recipie on her :) " talk " later guys Karen
Guest guest
Hi Karen, I am always looking for new ways to get protein too! One of my fav things to do with tofu is to bake it in the oven in tamari sauce. I love that. I haven't heard of 9 bars so can't really comment there. Let us know how the dahl goes! Guest guest
i use yogurt with added whey protein powder - to this i add cinnamon (which is sweet in itself) - very tasty i also make panner cheese (indian cheese) i make this in two batches because i don't have a pot big enough to do it all at once 1 gallon any type of dairy milk (not soy, oat, etc) - bring to a boil (it can go very fast and boil over, so use a big pot, non-stick is easiest to clean) remove from heat and add 1/2c lemon juice, lime juice or white vinegar, stir gently the curds will separate from the whey pour into a strainer/seive/colander lined with cheese cloth - rince with warm water let it drain and cool - use as is - or put in a pan with weight on top and press can be eaten raw, steamed, sauteed, etc 1 gal skim milk = about 6 2 oz servings, each 20 grams protein (milk with higher fat content makes a litle more) leigh
