Hello again,

I just realized that as I am trying to get the right amount of protein

in my breakfasts, I don't really know how much is enough. I thought of

trying to reach the 28gr. mark, but then I read that it is different

for everyone. Can someone please tell me how to measure how much

protein I need for each meal?

Thank you and have a wonderful evening,

Julia

Hi Julia,

Great question!

Take your weight in pounds and divide it by 6. That will tell you how many grams

of protein you need. For example: 150 pounds divided by 6 = 25. So at that

weight, one would need 25 grams of protein at breakfast.

HTH!

Since the protein amounts can be a little tricky for us veggies, I'm going to go

ahead and give the more complicated answer too... :-)

Take your weight in pounds and multiple it by .4. So 150 lbs x .4 = 60 grams of

protein.

Now take your weight in pounds and multiple it by .6. So 150 lbs x .6 = 90 grams

of protein.

So for a 150 lb person, the RANGE of protein needed per day is 60-90 grams.

Divide by three meals, and you need 20-30 grams per meal.

That's a pretty big range, as you can see. Especially when you're new to the

program and/or new to being veggie, it can be simpler to aim for the lower end

of the range, but once you have the hang of it, I think it's important to

experiment with more protein to see what gets you feeling your best.

Cheers,

Sharon in CA

Thank you all so much for your comments and your help. I feel very

supported, which I think is very important to make the program work

for me.

Have a beautiful day,
