Guest guest
It is not the eggs, Karen... Let's work on the soy issue first...and then I can share about the cholesterol. kathleen On Apr 22, 2008, at 9:54 AM, K wrote: > i guys... > so i got my blood results back and ive got really bad cholesterol...im > presuming its from the egg based diet ive been on...and prob past > bingeing??? > anyway...im a vegetarian and im trying to reduce the amount of soy in > my diet cause i have it at every meal...and work on my > cholesterol...the nurse wasnt very helpful as she was in a rush...any > suggestions??? > > karen > > > --- > > > > http://www.radiantrecovery.com > > http://www.radiantrecoverystore.com/ > > http://www.radiantrecovery.com/classes.htm > > http://www.radiantrecovery.com/cgi-bin/bbs-new/webbbs_config.pl > > > >
Guest guest
ah my favourite subject my cholesterol was high and I did a LOT of research. you reminded me I ought to go get a retest one of these days lol I found current research from the British Diabetic Association suggests that eggs arent as much a villain as once thought. More likely a big factor is processed foods and sugar ( no surprise for us) Google BDA if you like to follow up. you can do your own research ( also your practice nurse should have the current British Heart Foundation leaflets) and see what you think. my own opinion is that the steps take care of everything pretty much - not least the amount of fibre from browns and greens that are such a benefit re: cholesterol. We have such a healthy way of eating, good proteins, good fats, all those greens and browns. dont overwhelm yourself with everything at once! just think, step, and let the rest flow. what happened with breakfast? are you happy? mosaic , " K " <arwenavery wrote: > > i guys... > so i got my blood results back and ive got really bad cholesterol...im > presuming its from the egg based diet ive been on...and prob past > bingeing??? > anyway...im a vegetarian and im trying to reduce the amount of soy in > my diet cause i have it at every meal...and work on my > cholesterol...the nurse wasnt very helpful as she was in a rush...any > suggestions??? > > karen >

Guest guest
Just to chime in, my total cholesterol dropped 40 points after I started the program, and I eat plenty of eggs (and cheese too, for that matter). I think switching to whole grains has a very profound effect on the body. Remind me what step you're on. How's it going? Cheers, Sharon in CA mosaic <mosaic58 Tuesday, April 22, 2008 7:29:53 AM Re: Cholesterol... ah my favourite subject my cholesterol was high and I did a LOT of research. you reminded me I ought to go get a retest one of these days lol I found current research from the British Diabetic Association suggests that eggs arent as much a villain as once thought.
