Guest guest
Sharon, thanks so much for reminding me about this. I tend to forget the 0.4 part of the equation. I think it is because my all-or-nothingness at the beginning focused right onto on the 0.6 side! especially useful as you say for veggies baby stepping proteins. Lovely, thanks mosaic , Sharon Wylie <swylie2002 wrote: > > Since the protein amounts can be a little tricky for us veggies, I'm going to go ahead and give the more complicated answer too... :-) > > > Take your weight in pounds and multiple it by .4. Especially when you're new to the program and/or new to being veggie, it can be simpler to aim for the lower end of the range, but once you have the hang of it, I think it's important to experiment with more protein to see what gets you feeling your best. > > Cheers, > Sharon in CA > > > > Tina Castronovo <tcastronovo18 > > Tuesday, April 22, 2008 7:00:35 AM > RE: A practical question... > > Hi Julia, > > Great question! > > Take your weight in pounds and divide it by 6. That will tell you how many grams of protein you need. For example: 150 pounds divided by 6 = 25. So at that weight, one would need 25 grams of protein at breakfast. > > HTH! > > Tina > > > > > juliadelpalacio > Tue, 22 Apr 2008 02:39:28 +0000 > A practical question... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hello again, > > > > I just realized that as I am trying to get the right amount of protein > > in my breakfasts, I don't really know how much is enough.
