Guest guest
Hey everyone! Here is a great fall salad - it can be made anytime of the year, but it reminds me of fall. Combine: 1 unpeeled apple sliced thinly 3 - 4 stalks celery thinly diced 1/2 cup halved grapes Then combine: good oil and juice of 1/2 lemon S & P to taste In the meantime: heat 1 cup chopped nuts (I heated up in a dry frypan - you can use the oven too) heat until the nuts start to smell pour liquid over fruit then add nuts You can use anykind of nuts you like - I use pecans or walnuts or both. I usually use olive oil but today I used walnut oil. You can also subsitiute pears for apples. It's pretty forgiving but makes a very nice side. Best served right away but stays in fridge for up to a day.
