Guest guest
Thanks for the reminder of the Step 1 page, Mosaic. I have a lot of & #13; & #10;trouble getting enough protein and have had to go back to animal & #13; & #10;sources since I got seriously ill this summer. However, I am & #13; & #10;hopefully on the mend and eating breakfast is one of the good things I & #13; & #10;do for myself. For the new members of the group, I live in a small & #13; & #10;city in Kazakhstan where the availability of many foods is limited and & #13; & #10;the meat supply is not always safe. So, the protein powders, tofu & #13; & #10;products are just not available. The other challenge is that except & #13; & #10;for oatmeal, browns are not available. It does make it more & #13; & #10;challenging to stay on the program. But, I do get wonderful fresh & #13; & #10;fruit and vegetables in season and fantastic dried fruits and nuts all & #13; & #10;year round. & #13; & #10;On a positive note, after adopting this way of eating and living I & #13; & #10;have been able to stop taking anti-depressants after 15 years. I & #13; & #10;really believe that it is the only way to eat healthily for & #13; & #10;sugar-sensitive people like me.

Guest guest
You are not butting in at all - one of the wonderful things about this page is that everyone is welcome to share from their experiences. Antidepressants were a necessary evil for many years. It took a lot of courage and perseverance and a whole lot of support to finally break free of them. I have been able to manage without them for 3 months now - but it has been through the summer months. I'm not sure how I'll be in the darker winter months, but I'm going to try. Eating right and getting fresh air and sunshine are part of my everyday fight to live without the pills. Good luck t, and don't be afraid to listen to your body. Guest guest
Oh yes. Thank you Mosaic. I have seen that page before. I have been detoxed for four years, but am currently reworking the steps in order to tighten them all up. Just beginning to rework step 3 right now. It's allergy season here in Idaho, in the high mountain desert where I live, so I am not too full of the joys right now, but working on it. Got some advice from Kathleen recently about taking a therapeutic dose of omegas. So I am going to try that next and see how it works.
