Guest guest
Hi everyone: Nice to read everyone's comments 'tho I haven't posted for a while. I ate at an Ethiopian restaurant last night. My BF is vegan so of course we ordered the vegetarian options. Cheese and eggs were not on the menu so it really was vegan. I asked about the injera bread and the waiter said it was white flour with a bit of teff added. Teff flour is hard to get, he said. We had lentils, yellow peas, cabbage, beets, potato and a salad mixture. So apart from the white injera bread, it was a healthy and TASTY meal. I often use regular meat recipes and just substitute lentils, beans, potatoes or tofu for the meat portion. Then I can use the spices and other ingredients from the recipe and it usually works out all right. Guest guest
Sounds like a fabulous time! I am lucky to have a vegan friend like you who is so supportive of my SS. We *talk food* all the time. She doesn't judge me for what I eat and I don't judge her for what she eats. We eat differently but respect each other's journey. I think I'll suggest that we share a meal together soon. Thanks for the inspiration! Karyn Anna Olson <annols Monday, September 22, 2008 12:24:52 PM Re: Happy beginning of fall!
