I am a veg. and just really starting to focus on step 5.

I do eat fish.

Last night I have black bean soup and a sweet potato and some

brocolli. I was soo soo full that I wasn't even hungry at breakfast. I

did eat a tuna sand. on spelt bread for breakfast.

I seem to either eat too much or not enough.

I do not want to eat meat but I get bloated from beans. I eat a lot of

soy stuff. Premade vegie burgers. But I know they aren't great to eat

all of the time.

Well, just wanted to touch base and connect with you guys.

Hi Laurie!

It's really a balancing act isn't it? I have the same problem in too much or too

little. For me, I don't think it is the amount of food but the types that fill

me up more so I have to pay attention and make notes about it for the future.

I eat fish as well and am about to jump into step 6 on January 1!

Welcome!

Hi Laurie, welcome! Are you on the step 5 list? It's a pretty cool place! Glad

you still had breakfast even though you were full. I wonder if all that beans

in the soup made you bloated and that's why you didn't feel hungry at breakfast?

I have troubles with beans, I want to start baby-stepping my way into eating

them and have a little each day and gradually increase to see if I can get my

body used to all that fiber. I'll have to rely on other protein sources in

those meals, of course, so I am thinking long term.

beans. Maybe make it part of my protein or my brown but not all of

the protein. I think that will work much better for me.

Now I just have to figure the spices out to make it taste yummy.

Anyone out there have a problem with cheese? I way over ate on it

last night. I was trying to figure out why. Maybe my breakfast was

light, maybe dinner was a little late. Maybe both of those

reasons.

Hi Laurie,

I'd guess it'd be both of those reasons, and at some points I have overdone

cheese too. I got a BE hit from the fat. Nothing wrong with cheese - but I

have to take care of my BEs in other ways, eat enough food, and get plenty

of healthy fat in!

Laurie, I find I will eat more fatty salty food when I'm not eating enough

overall, so perhaps you are onto something with the light breakfast :)
