Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been feeling really tired and puffy-eyed after my morning smoothie lately, and I can't figure it out. I use a version of the recipe in the book: 12 oz unsweetened soy milk (1.5g sugar, 10g protein) 2 scoops Aria protein powder (2.5g sugar, 14g protein) 2 Tbl almond butter (8g protein) 1 Tbl instant oatmeal 1 scoop Greens+ powder 1 Tbl flax seed oil 1/2 cup frozen berries I'm coming off some bad weeks, where I've started over on the steps, am I just having sugar cravings, or could it maybe be the soy? I don't eat a lot of dairy, so I don't want regular milk, and rice milk has not much protein... Thoughts appreciated, thanks Erica
Guest guest
Erica, do you have a dairy allergy? Aria protein powder is half soy, half dairy. Heather There are two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle. --Albert Einstein ________________________________ Erica Heinz <7.heinz Friday, March 27, 2009 10:56:35 AM Smoothie problems Hi everyone, I've been feeling really tired and puffy-eyed after my morning smoothie lately, and I can't figure it out. Guest guest
Thanks Heather, that is a good thought... I have cut out most dairy over the last few years, so it is very possible I've lost my ability to digest it... I used to love cottage cheese but now it definitely makes my stomach hurt, and when I ate a big bowl of homemade cream of mushroom soup over the holidays I felt like I was going to die. I thought it was just rich stuff, but I'll test this theory!
