Guest guest
Great to have you at the group, Angela. Welcome! Great introduction by the way. Shawn , Angela <angiewright5464> wrote: > I stink at introductions so bear with me please. Hi! My name is Angela. I'm 36, live in Alaska and have just recently became a vegetarian. This was a spiritual/ethical decision which I feel I have to constantly defend to everyone I know.. So, that is why I am here. I need to make some more friends which are not going to question my eating habits. I come from a small farming/ranching community. My great grandfather was a rancher, my grandfather took it over and then my father. My mother is supportive but the rest of the family has decided I am crazy. ha! Anyway, am looking forward to meeting all of you! > > Thanks for your time! > > > > Mail > Stay connected, organized, and protected. Guest guest
Drink lots of water and expect to sleep more than usual as you clean out. You can eat LOTS more raw than cooked. So make sure you are getting enough calories or you will be tired and have lots of cravings. Drink lots of smoothies and juices. I found soaked oat grouts blended to make a raw oatmeal (water, dates & cinnamon, then add raisins) was a great raw transition food - really filled me up. Eat fruit all through out the day and have BIG full meal salads at lunch and dinner. Greetings,I tend to be more of a lurker, but now I find my self needing a'boost' and some advice. I tried to ambark on this journey earlierthis year and failed miserably. Now, I have recomitted myself and setreasonable goals which will enable me to succeed. I do have a coupleof questions, though...What does your typical day look like in terms of what you consume? Was your detox/transition rough? If so, would you have done anythingdifferently?Any suggestions for resources in the MD/DC/VA area? I am finding it tobe quite limited. (Maybe I am looking in all the wrong places)I appreciate your time and any suggestions. Thanks kindly,Lydia
