Hi, Heather and Anne -

Thanks so for the input! I did just that today - made a G. Shake (with a

Banana) with all my protein in the p. powder scoops & had some " Ezekiel " Cereal

on the side. Couldn't finish the shake in the hour.... but seems to be holding

me over.

On the Goetta Front - I picked up ingredients after work yesterday morning, and

was sad to see that the " Irish " Oats sold in the canisters at Whole Foods, are

not the same as the " Pinhead " or Steel Cut Oats called for in the recipe. I'm

going to try a different grocery store chain, Trader Joes, today.

-angie out.

Shake never worked for me, when I started. I'd absolutely crash a few hours

later! But then I learned that I just *really* need more brown. So a shake plus

a bowl of oatmeal or some such works fine. You might want to see if that

helps...

Hello, everyone,

Thanks for the ideas! I've tried the George's Shake Recipe (using GenSoy pr.

Powder), and, though it was a lot to take in, it didn't seem to hold me over for

very long. I like the idea of adding a Bannana.

SO... has anyone here heard of Goetta? It's a Cincinnati thing (Ohio, USA) ,

supposidly brought over with German Immigrants. It's like a Oat / sassage/

fried thing. I remember it as being so crispy and fattening and delicious...

I'm going to stop by Whole Foods after work this morning (8:00am) and pick up

the imitation meat and other ingredients to try and make it - Veggie-Style!
