Guest guest
Hi, Heather and Anne - Thanks so for the input! I did just that today - made a G. Shake (with a Banana) with all my protein in the p. powder scoops & had some " Ezekiel " Cereal on the side. Couldn't finish the shake in the hour.... but seems to be holding me over. On the Goetta Front - I picked up ingredients after work yesterday morning, and was sad to see that the " Irish " Oats sold in the canisters at Whole Foods, are not the same as the " Pinhead " or Steel Cut Oats called for in the recipe. I'm going to try a different grocery store chain, Trader Joes, today. -angie out. , Heather Butler <hawaiihmb wrote: > > Anne, that was my experience, too > Heather ________________________________ Anne F <cityladya Shake never worked for me, when I started. I'd absolutely crash a few hours later! But then I learned that I just *really* need more brown. So a shake plus a bowl of oatmeal or some such works fine. You might want to see if that helps... Powder), and, though it was a lot to take in, it didn't seem to hold me over for very long. I like the idea of adding a Bannana. SO... has anyone here heard of Goetta? It's a Cincinnati thing (Ohio, USA) , supposidly brought over with German Immigrants. It's like a Oat / sassage/ fried thing. I remember it as being so crispy and fattening and delicious... I'm going to stop by Whole Foods after work this morning (8:00am) and pick up the imitation meat and other ingredients to try and make it - Veggie-Style!
