OK, originally this also contained butter. i changed the butter to

margarine so i'm guessing it MAY change the nutritional content of

the dish, for those of you who use mastercook. (such as, the

CHOLESTEROL??? LOL)....

 

never thought of doing a snack mix in the crockpot before, though!!!

Curried Snack Mix

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

3 tablespoons margarine

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons hot curry powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

2 cups rice squares cereal

1 cup walnut halves

1 cup dried cranberries

 

Melt butter in large skillet. Add brown sugar, curry powder, salt and

cumin;

mix well. Add cereal, walnuts and cranberries and stir to coat. Spoon

mixture

into slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 3 hours. Remove cover; cook an

additional 30 minutes.

 

Makes 16 servings
