Guest guest Posted October 20, 2001 Report Share Posted October 20, 2001 i'm not quite sure what the point of " butter flavored cooking spray " is, my crockpot is nonstick, if that's the problem. i'm sure any cooking spray will do. * Exported from MasterCook * Green Bean Side Pot Recipe By :A Potful of Recipes, Joanna Lund Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : A Potful of Recipes Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 16 oz can diced tomatoes -- undrained 1/2 cup hot water 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar Twin 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 2 cups frozen cut green beans -- thawed 1/2 cup chopped onion 2/3 cup uncooked instant rice Spray a slow cooker container with butter-flavored cooking spray. In prepared container, combine undrained tomatoes, water, Worcestershire sauce, Brown Sugar Twin, parsley flakes, and black pepper. Add green beans and onion. Mix well to combine. Stir in uncooked rice. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. Mix well before serving. HINT: Thaw green beans by placing them in a colander and rinsing them under hot water for one minute.
