Sunday Night Chili

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

2 cups TVP granules

1 1/2 cups hot vegetable broth

2 15 oz cans chili beans in chili sauce

1 medium onion -- chopped

1 medium green pepper -- chopped

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon crushed oregano

2 tablespoons chili powder

1 16 oz can tomatoes

1 24 oz can tomato sauce

 

Rehydrate the TVP with hot broth for 10-15 minutes. Place all ingredients in a

large crockpot. Mix well. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Additional chili powder

may be added if you prefer very spicy chili.
