Bean Stew

Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1/2 cup onions

1 1/2 teaspoons paprika

1/2 cup dry pinto beans

5 cups water

1 bay leaf

1 teaspoon celery seed

1/2 cup dry red kidney beans

1/2 cup dry lima beans

1/2 cup split peas -- uncooked, yellow

1 teaspoon dill weed

1/2 teaspoon pepper

2 cups mixed chopped vegetables

 

Soak the dried beans overnight or use quick soak method. Dump everything in the

crockpot all at once and cook for about 8 hours.
