Guest guest Posted June 7, 2002 Report Share Posted June 7, 2002 Hi, My name is Amelia (as you might have gathered from my cryptic " goodbye " message earlier, which I sent to all six groups I belong to and prolly made sense to the other groups only, sorry). My significant other has a crockpot, but I can't eat dairy and one of our housemates is vegetarian, so I need some good vegan recipes for the crockpot--and anyway, I hate canned soup and processed food, so conventional crockpot recipes are not for me. Now for my questions. I am looking for some recipes. Does anyone have a tried-and-true rice pudding recipe for the crockpot? (Or can I convert the simple baked rice pudding from _Fannie Farmer_?) Has anyone made " Indian, " or cornmeal, pudding in a crockpot? And can anyone recommend a vegan or vegetarian crockpot cookbook, or one that is comprehensive enough to offer " something for everyone " ? Dinner recipes I think I can find, I've got some websites to check out and of course the archives here. But the above desserts/breakfasts were things I was looking forward to making in the crockpot, and now I can't find recipes (or not ones that don't call for instant rice and evaporated milk).
