I'm not much of a fan of the TVP in this, next time I'll try it with Gimme Lean instead. 2 cups dry TVP1 1/2 cups boiling waterSplash of vinegar1 medium onion, chopped1 carrot, sliced2 stalks celery, choppedhandful of mushrooms, chopped2 cloves garlic1 16 oz jar Tabasco chili starter (original recipe)1 can pinto beans1/2 cup warm waterPut the TVP in a crockpot and slowly add the boiling water and splash of vinegar. Stir and wait 15 minutes for the TVP to rehydrate. Add chopped onion, carrot, celery, mushrooms, garlic, chili starter, and pinto beans. Shake the 1/2 cup warm water in the chili starter jar and pour in. Heat on HIGH for 4 hours or until cooked to your liking. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
