Guest guest
Lisa, Rinse beasn, unless the instructions say you don't need to, then place in crockpot with about an inch or two over the beans. Do this first thing in the morning. I would guess 8-10 hours on low. If there is a spice pack with salt already in it, add it after the beans are nearly to complete done. If bay leaf or other spices without salt, then you can add at the beginning with the beans. I like to soak beans overnight in the frig. Then rinse them before I put in the crockpot for the 8-10 hours. Check the beans for tenderness after 6 or 7 hours. And check about once an hour there on. This is my own personal experience. Maybe someone have a better way than mind.
