Guest guest
Where does one draw the line between religion and non-religion. Just because an international major religion does not say we should eat a vegan diet, does that mean vegan beliefs are not an aspect of a vegan's religion? And what of Christian & Judaism's belief that " thou shalt not kill? " Would the use of the egg preventing it from becoming a living animal count? The court probably wouldn't want to touch that one. I'm not even familiar with vaccine process, but recognize it takes advantage of animals. I find it interesting that, according to the article, the courts have ruled " atheists who said their moral and spiritual opposition to killing was equivalent to a religion " and yet found against the vegan. I realize we do not see from one article the evidence presented to the court. It may be that he didn't meet certain " requirements " of the court. A person's beliefs are his/her beliefs are his/her beliefs... Jeff >Yesterday in California, an appeals court ruled against a vegan's >lawsuit using religion as a defense.
