Guest guest Posted October 5, 2002 Report Share Posted October 5, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Lentils with Garlic and Rosemary Recipe By :Cooking Light (adapted) Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 5 cups water 3 cups chopped onion 1 cup diced carrot 1 teaspoon dried rosemary -- crushed 3/4 teaspoon rubbed sage 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 pound dried lentils 1 14.5 oz can vegetable broth or vegetarian " beef " broth or water and 1 packet artifical " ham " flavor (Goya) 2 garlic cloves -- chopped 1 bay leaf chopped fresh parsley -- (optional) Combine first 10 ingredients in an electric slow cooker. Cover with lid, and cook on high-heat setting for 3 hours or until lentils are tender. Discard bay leaf.
