I am thinking apple cider vinegar instead of worcestershire sauce. And vegan cheddar cheese. Does anyone have a better idea on how to alter this? I'm new at veganizing recipes. And does anyone have a TNT vegan cheddar cheese recipe? BTW, Sue in NJ, I tried your " Chickenless Stew " last night and it was delicious. Amirah ===== STUFFED GREEN PEPPERS From Chet Day 1 package (10 oz) frozen corn kernels 1 can (15 oz) red kidney beans drained and rinsed 1 can ( 14.5 oz) diced tomatoes 1/4 cup salsa 1/4 cup chopped onions 1 1/2 cups cooked rice 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp pepper 2 cups shredded reduced fat Cheddar cheese, divided 6 green peppers. tops removed & seeded Combine all ingredients, except 1/4 cup cheese and green peppers. Stuff peppers. Arrange peppers in crockpot. Cover, cook on low 6-8 hours (high 3-4 hours). Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese during the last 30 minutes. It´s really delicious, and improves the flavour of the dish. You may also try with rice vinegar (sumeshi in japanese), usually sold in China food stores, or soy bean sauce, if you like it best.
