Guest guest Posted December 22, 2002 Report Share Posted December 22, 2002 * Exported from MasterCook * Pasta with Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce Recipe By :Biggest Book of Slow Cooker Recipes, Better Homes & Gardens Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Biggest Book of Slow Cooker Pasta & Pasta Sauces Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 15 oz cans tomato sauce 1 14.5 oz can chunky Italian-style tomatoes 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 1/2 cup oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes -- drained and chopped 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup chopped red or green bell pepper 1/4 cup chopped carrot 2 bay leaves 3 cloves garlic 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning 1 teaspoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon crushed red pepper 1 1/2 cups water 12 ounces dried linguine or farfalle pasta finely shredded Romano or Parmesan cheese -- (optional) In a 3 1/2 to 4 quart slow cooker, combine tomato sauce, undrained Italian-style tomatoes, mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, onion, sweet pepper, carrot, bay leaves, garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar, salt, and red pepper. Pour water over all. Cover and cook on low heat for 9 to 10 hours or on high heat for 4 1/2 to 5 hours. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
