Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method

1 1/2 cups ketchup

1 onion -- chopped

1 green pepper -- chopped

1 red bell pepper -- chopped

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

2 bay leaves

2 teaspoons cider vinegar -- (to 3 tsp.)

1 teaspoon dry mustard

1/8 teaspoon pepper

1 16 oz can kidney beans -- rinsed and drained

1 15.5 oz can Great Northern beans -- rinsed and drained

1 15 oz can lima beans -- rinsed and drained

1 15 oz can black beans -- rinsed and drained

1 15.5 oz can black-eyed peas -- rinsed and drained

 

Combine first 10 ingredients in slow cooker. Mix well.

 

Add remaining ingredients. Mix well.

 

Cover and cook on low for 5 to 7 hours or until onions and peppers are tender.

 

Remove bay leaves before serving.
