Guest guest
Hi Jennifer, Be aware that the Mori-Nu pudding mixes aren't vegan - at least some of them, if not all, contain honey. You can make a beautiful cream pie, if you're interested, by mixing roughly equal amounts of silken tofu (like Mori-Nu brand) with melted chocolate chips (use a blender or hand-blender to blend the tofu to a perfectly creamy consistency, then blend in the chocolate), and then pour into a pie shell and chill to set. This really is that simple, and it's divine. You can also add a few tablespoons of peanut butter to the mixture, or a bit of any flavouring (vanilla, espresso or coffee essence, hazelnut essence, peppermint essence, etc.) to achieve a slightly different flavour. They fool dairy-eaters every time! Best wishes, Krista You wrote: > There are also 2 (that I know of in US) brands of instant pudding packages > found in health food stores that are meant to made up with silken tofu. > Mori-Nu makes one and the other is Soy something-or-other. -- Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Guest guest
There are also 2 (that I know of in US) brands of instant pudding packages found in health food stores that are meant to made up with silken tofu. Mori-Nu makes one and the other is Soy something-or-other. Both are really good, imo. I have even used them to make " cream " pie! They come in choc., van., banana, and lemon. I also have some recipes to make these tofu pudding recipes from scratch, if anyone is interested, but I find that you need to play with them a little the first few times you make them to make it suit your taste (example, I didn't find the lemon one lemony enough). Guest guest
My intent here was to be non-confrontational. Among friends - and I repeat *friends* - there are some topics that are far too distressing to one or more of the group for friendship not to be strained. I *do* listen to what I say, sir. I listen a lot. I also listen to what you have been saying lately, and you are not being 'non-confrontational', so to speak. As for your 'grow the fuck up' remark to me, I suggest that you apply it to your own development. Perhaps as you get a little older, grow up yourself a little, learn a little wisdom, or do whatever it is you value in the sense of 'grow(ing) the fuck up' you may reconsider your current stance and perhaps wish you had been a little less angry with yourself and therefore a little less offensive to people who intend no harm to you. I wish you well. But I don't think I want to discuss anything with you again. Please don't feel you have to respond to this post of mine ;=) pat sant > Just listen to what you're actually saying. Guest guest
I have to agree with Hannah, guess I should have read the labels a little more closely. Thanks again for all the replies..
