Hi,i'm new

I wanted to just quickly introduce myself.

 

My name is Theresa and i'm 31 and live in Dallas,Texas although i've only

been here for three years,i'm originally from London,England.I've got four

children right now,2 are angels and two are here with me,my eldest daughter

is 9 and my littlest is 19 months,i'm also 10 weeks pregnant with my

last.I'm married to Scott who isn't a veggie and no i don't handle or cook

meat for him as it makes me sick lol

 

I've been vegan for 8 years,i actually didn't become a veggie for any animal

issues more a health thing,i was diagnosed with bad IBS and it seemed

everything animal related set it off,so i became a veggie and although i

still have IBS attacks they are nothing like they used to be.My kids do eat

some meat as i feel the choice should be thier own at some point although

they also eat a lot of veggie food as well.My 9 yr old is already leaning

away from any meat when she can.

 

The reason i joined this group is for some help on new food ideas,coming

from London i had a lot of vegetarian food avaliable to me but living in the

home of the steak isn't making things so easy for me.I'm tired of eating the

same things and so when a friend found this group i jumped at the chance to

join,i've also recommended it to a Vegan friend local to me here as she's

looking for new ideas as well.I might not be all that active right now as

i'm really very sick with this baby and living on soup and gatorade but i'm

glad i've found somewhere to get yummy new recipes for when i do feel

better.
