Guest guest
We will be having this instead of the " traditional " cranberry sauce. It is very good plain or you could eat it with something cold & creamy. Cranberry Apple Crisp (adapted from the book Holiday Treats, by Esther Hautzig) 2 12-oz bags cranberries, rinsed 10 or 12 apples, cored & sliced 1 1/4 c. whole wheat flour 1 1/4 c. sugar 1 c. brown sugar 1 1/2 c. granola or old-fashioned oats 2/3 c. oil or 1 1/4 stick butter substitute 1. mix cranberries & apple slices, put half in lg. crockpot. 2. mix dry ingredients & cut in butter substitute or oil. 3. sprinkle 1/3 of sugar/flour mixture on fruit in crockpot. 4. add the rest of the fruit. 5. spread remaining sugar/flour mixture on top. 6. cook 3 hours on high. Enjoy! --Hannah
