Spanish Rice

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master v8.05

 

Title: Joan Mershon's Spanish Rice - Crockpot

Categories: Crockpot, Grains

Yield: 6 servings

 

1 Onion, diced

1 Green pepper, minced

2 Tomatoes, peeled, quartered

15 oz Tomato Sauce

1 1/2 c Water

2 ts Chili powder

2 ts Vegetarian Worcestershire sauce

1 1/2 ts Garlic powder

3/4 c Brown rice

2 tb Salsa

 

Stir all ingredients together. Cover and cook on low 7-10 hours.

hey all,

 

i tried this recipe today and it was good and very easy. :)

the only problem i faced was that the spanish rice was almost like porridge...

dont know why.... but me and my husband we loved the taste of our first meal in

the crock pot.......

thanks for letting us know!!! perhaps it would be good in burritos

then, if it's porridge like? hmmmmmm....I'm glad you liked it besides

that though!!!!!
