Guest guest
I have a receipe which recommends that this be used. Is it really necesary in a crockpot? What are the alternatives? I'm sorry, but I just don't fancy consuming " propellant " .
Guest guest
I bought a pump gadget in Wal Mart that you fill up with oil. It has a pump on top that you pump so your putting air pressure into the container. When you get resistance, you can spray the oil and it comes out as a fine mist. It works great and is much cheaper than the aerosol sprays. Guest guest
You don't need to use non-stick spray. You can grease the crockpot with vegetable shortening, or just coat the inside surface with vegetable oil. The only advantages to non-stick spray are easy of use and that it adds fractionally less fat. , " sven & gertie " <tuckntape> wrote: > I have a receipe which recommends that this be used. Guest guest
yes, and pampered chef sells one, as does trader joes, whole foods, and I know many of the cooking shops would as well... i remember seeing it somewhere else recently, but can't recall where... a dap of oil on a napkin will also work! =) - Barbara Zaremsky Friday, December 26, 2003 10:03 AM Re: question on " non-stick spray " I bought a pump gadget in Wal Mart that you fill up with oil.
