Guest guest
actually.. the stick variety of Earth Balance USED to NOT be vegan... but they discovered that having a vegan non hydrogenated margerine was far more important to it's customers, and the little bit of dairy it contained did not add to it.. so now the sticks are vegan.. however.. always check, in case your store happens to have some of hte old batch.. the sticks are now labeled VEGAN! =) yeah!! jenni - Tim Sikora Friday, January 30, 2004 7:34 AM Re: Re: Vegan Mac and Cheese Ummm, be careful. I believe the stick variety may be non-vegan. I read the ingredients when I first saw it... and remember that it was non-vegan, but I don't remember what was in it that would make me think that. I've sent an email to them just to be sure. Tim
Guest guest
OH, ok, cool. I checked them when they first came out... good to have that update! I'll have to check the next time I'm at Whole Foods. --- On Fri 01/30, Jenni Billings < jenni > wrote: Jenni Billings [ jenni] Fri, 30 Jan 2004 17:43:10 -0800 earth balance sticks... actually.. the stick variety of Earth Balance USED to NOT be vegan... but they discovered that having a vegan non hydrogenated margerine was far more important to it's customers, and the little bit of dairy it contained did not add to it..

so now the sticks are vegan.. however.. always check, in case your store happens to have some of hte old batch..
the sticks are now labeled VEGAN!
=)

yeah!!

jenni
-
Tim Sikora

Sent: Friday, January 30, 2004 7:34 AM
Re: Re: Vegan Mac and Cheese

Ummm, be careful. Guest guest
I did get a response from the company, and you are indeed correct. They used to not be vegan, but changed their formula to exclude the whey that was in it originally.
