I JUST FINALLY found out how awesome Tofutti Sour Cream substitute is! I shopped at a new store (Mothers, new to me) and found it there when Whole Foods where I used to shop never had it. SOOO, I'm interested in using it in recipes where cream or milk would have been used. Maybe a stroganoff or stew? Any ideas would be great! Guest guest Posted March 12, 2004 Report Share Posted March 12, 2004 Mmm, tofutti sour cream...first thing that comes to mind is Cashew & Carrot soup from Diet for a Small Planet (it's used as a garnish but it makes all the difference) and then there's also borscht (or beet soup) which uses it the same way.
