looking for good low cal vegan

Hi,

I'm on Weight Watchers, and I know how to make lots of delicious and fattening

vegetarian and vegan foods. My challenge is learning to make good tasting, lo

cal vegan and vegetarian foods. Any help, and recepies will be appreciated!

Hi Kris,

 

This is not a recipe per-se but I learned this from a lady I take vegan

cooking classes from. Instead of " sautéing " with oil, try using a 1/4

cup of vegetable stock. I just made some Kale that way tonight.

I've been on ww too, reached lifetime in 2003! I

couldn't tell if you wanted exclusively low fat vegan,

but there are some great recipes on the ww web page:

www.weightwatchers.com If you haven't visited it yet,

look for the message board section and there is a

whole board for vegetarian discussion. I have found a

slew of local veggie and vegan rec. there, and I

would suggest also a wonderful and MOTIVATING cookbook

called Cooking Thin ( it's one of the best cookbooks

I've ever seen ) Also I have found some wonderful rec.

in Prevention, Shape and the WW magazine, also Cooking

Light. It's a challenge, I know !!! I also have

purchased some of the ww cookbooks and, you have to

dig, but there's some wonderful stuff there. It takes

time to build a new repetoire!
