Personally, my pet peeve is people who don't crop their posts, and who leave one (or SEVERAL!) previous posts in their replies, IN THEIR ENTIRETY!!! Maddening, especially if you're on digest! I had thought that with my name in the subject line, we were doing exactly as you just suggested--letting others know they didn't really need to read the post if they didn't want to. Or am I not understanding something here? I am usually meticulous about changing the subject lines when I answer a post (another pet peeve--when someone doesn't change the subject line as the subject changes!). Notice I put YOUR name in this one! Not sure what else to say, since my name was on the posts Ardee-ann and I sent back and forth, and the subject didn't change. Please clarify if you meant something different. I know it's important to stay on track with the subject of the group, but a little socialization is always nice too, and I'd hate to feel it was necessary to give that up here.
