Guest guest
Attached is the lasagna recipe for those who don't have it and want it. BTW. It was NOT very tasty the next day. --Heartsong Happiness is that state of consciousness which proceedsfrom the achievement of one's values.--Ayn Rand ----Original Message Follows---- RawSeattle RawSeattle RawSeattle [RawSeattle] Digest Number 327 1 Jul 2002 22:26:45 -0000
Guest guest
Okay, I have something to learn here ;=) I generally freeze beans *without the cooking liquid* but, since I've never frozen them *with* it I don't know what the effect could be. How much better is it? And do you know why?? Not arguing, just asking and, as I say, looking for better methods to learn ;=) And I'm going to be cooking up some black turtle beans today (can't live without em!) so I really really need to know cuz I always cook surplus so that I have them on hand. Guest guest
N'omi Rose, I answered your similar post on the Veggie Jews list. If you want to talk to like-minded people, I DON'T think a vegetarian list is what you want. Eating fish is absolutely not cruelty free. from Maida Citizens for Pets in Condos, http://www.petsincondos.org South Florida Vegetarian Events, http://www.soflavegevents.net
Guest guest
More on my last post to N'omi Rose: If you are eating fish in order to get those healthy Omega 3 essential fatty acids, you need to know that there are other healthier sources. Where do the fish get Omega-3's? From seaweed. Other sources include flax seeds, walnuts. I think I read somewhere that avocados have some of these good fats. It is important to get more Omega 3's since most people's diets have way too much of other essential fatty acids so that their diet is unbalanced in that area. With fish, just in terms of health, you need to be concerned about mercury. When fish are factory farmed, there are additional health risks, similar to risks eating factory farmed meats. from Maida Citizens for Pets in Condos, http://www.petsincondos.org South Florida Vegetarian Events, http://www.soflavegevents.net
