Guest guest
A smartpart is a programmed or programmable timer that allows one to make a large number of regular, non-programmable, crockpots act like programmable crockpots. For example, the smartpart can be set to make the crockpot cook on low for eight hours and then switch to warm. It's an in-line device; the smartpart plugs into the wall and the crockpot plugs into the smartpart. The smartpart manual lists which models of Rival crockpots work with the smartpart; I gather this has to do with wattage or something like that. I don't see smartparts for sale on the web; maybe Rival doesn't make them anymore. Perhaps you could find one on Ebay. Check the online smartpart manual to make sure your crockpot model is listed. , FerretsR1@a... wrote: > what does it [a smartpart] do?? I've never heard of it. My crockpot is the basic - very cheap kind.
