Guest guest
Patience Thanks for the two stew recipes. I hope you do not mind my liking tham so much that I snagged and shared them with others in my " crusade " to subtly get some of the members of a couple of non-vegetarian cooking groups I either co-ownor or moderate to at least have some healthier meal recipes in front of them to choose from. I loved both the one from Ms Bauju and Patience. What I liked more in Patience's was the choice of Tamari and the options for varieations on margerine substitutes. As long as I have my neck way out here I'll extend it a bit more to make it an easier target. I also assed " vergin (unrefided) " in front of " Olive Oil " in the one recipe. OK .... I came out from under my rock, made a wave or two, now I will go back under and try to keep out of more trouble. Have a great day ... and Ms. Bauju and Patience ... thanks for some great recipes ... Ms Bauju's is to be warming in my crock for tonight's dinner. ..with tamari and Unrefined olive oil and no margerine substitute as i do not like the margerine or butter affect in meals. Even bread ... either by itself, or dipped into unrefined oil, olive or flax seed. Alyssia (I would have used a cool name tag, but this group is " plain " text only.) OH! Patience, In that I spoke of you, I thought you might like to know what I said. . =============== Another snag.. The cook who's recipe this is? Patience. In case someone wants a more " meaty " flavor in their stew ... this is still Vegan yet it will give you some of the " heavy " feeling you might get from a meat stew. You may have a problem however... well more of an unusual sensation .... it tends to digest easier. I left in Patience's intro comments also. I like her recipe better than the first one because of the use of tamari instead of soy (or as the preferred). Soy is just piles of liquid salt with little flavor. Tamari is richer flavored ... it is a byproduct of Misu manufacture and is aged in wine kegs for about 2 years before bottling.
Guest guest
Hello. I have Tamari, Soy & Teriyaki sauces. I've got all 3 because I've had recipes using each. Now that I know the difference between Tamari and Soy I will stick with Tamari. Thanks. What about Teriyaki though? Is that just more flavorful soy sauce? Thanks, Tammy - Alyssia Vegan Crockpots Tuesday, January 25, 2005 7:55 AM Thanks for the stew .. Patience Thanks for the two stew recipes. Guest guest
Well, you are most welcome -- and by all means, spread the word about the stew! It's too good/tasty/cheap/convenient not to share, lol ..... Patience , " Alyssia " <deechun_sa_ngop@a...> wrote: > Patience > > Thanks for the two stew recipes.
