HI Alyssia

before you go back to lurking.. i have a quick question!

I've been meaning to buy some Tamari.. and I should have picked it up

at the grocery the last time... but didn't...

anyway.. I am buying my groceries online (i live in NYC, and it's

somewhat more affordable, and definitely easier on the back to have

certain things delivered, so I've been ordering once a month... )

freshdirect only has tamari soy sauce .. is that the same thing as

tamari.. I didn't think so.. but what do I know.... is there

something to consider when buying Tamari??

thanks!

I often use Bragg's aminos in place of soy sauce in recipes..

=)

jenni

ps.. I do the same thing.. I co-own another recipe group, with a non

veg friend, and I like to share only my vegan recipes... in the hopes

that others will try them and in doing so, that's one less meat

centered meal =)

Jenni, tamari I think is soy sauce that has been fermented differently? I

think it has a richer flavor. Honestly though, I use braggs now, instead.

haha.

Good question Jenni. You made me think of another. What's healthier (more good

stuff and less sodium) Bragg's or Tamari?

Take care,

Tammy

I'll do my best. It's called Bragg Liquid Aminos. You can find it at most

health food stores and at some good grocery stores (in health food sections).

It's in a bottle like soy sauce and can be used like soy sauce but is supposed

to be much healthier for you. I like it on salads with a bit of olive oil.

Take care,

Tammy
