I put a few large chunks of potatoes in my crocks of beans. I've

heard that the potato somehow alleviates the gaseousness in beans. Is

this true? It seems to work.

Thanks to the person who mentioned Kombu. I was at an Asian market

the other day and I was looking for something that I've heard folks

mention before that tastes like the sea/salty. I saw tons of seaweed

and sushi/sushimi wrappers but I couldn't remember what the product

was called that I was looking for. Finally last night I remembered it

was called, " dulse flakes " . Is that anything like Kombu?
