Guest guest
It seems that with some beans you could choose to soak or not soak if you're cooking in a crock pot. Over the weekend I finally cooked my pinto beans and I decided to try not soaking first. Especially since I forgot to start them soaking the night before. I started the crockpot on high, but then had to add more water. So then I turned it to low and let it go. I think I cooked them for about 2 hours on high and 4 hours on low and they came out great. If you do choose to soak, and it sounds like you should with kidney beans, then make sure you dump out the water and only use fresh water to cook. I now have a bag of mixed, soup beans that I want to cook up. Denise
