Guest guest
I made this up and very open to adaptation. In the supermarkets here they sell a bag of 16 bean soup. the beans are dried and there is no seasoning with it, basically it's a bag of mixed beans. I soaked the beans overnight and I used the whole one pound bag. Put everything in to a crockpot: Entire amount of soaked beans 32oz box of vegetable stock (i used pacific brand) A couple handfuls of chopped onions 1 pint jar of tomatoes I had frozen - you can use a can diced tomotatoes or leave them out. Salt and pepper to taste I added a couple dashes of herbs de provance (This is generally a blend of dried marjoram, thyme, summer savory, basil, rosemary, fennel seeds and lavender) I used a 6qt crockpot but this should fit in a 4qt too. I cooked it on low for 10 hours. It turned out more like stew than soup so I had it over rice. I cooked my rice seperately and didn't add it to the cooker. This came together since this what I had in the house last night.
