Guest guest
Just wanted to let people know about a great new cookbook, The Simple Little Vegan Slow Cooker, by Michelle Rivera. It's a small book at a small price, the recipes are very simple. The first one I tried, Tangerine Tofu with Snowpeas, is very tasty, and I'm looking forward to checking out some others. You can order it at Amazon.com or Amazon.ca Cheers, Don in Vancouver, Canada

Guest guest
Thanks for the tip! The name alone will make it a big seller! Guest guest
>the recipes are very simple. The first one I tried, > Tangerine Tofu with Snowpeas, is very tasty. . . I'll be looking for this new cookbook too - thanks for the tip! - but I confess I'm a tad doubtful about snowpeas in a slowcooker. Could I ask, please, how long they were in there? Guest guest
The recipe said 6-8 hours on low and I left them in there for 11 hours (due to work schedule) and, you're right, the snowpeas were pretty dull and listless after 11 hours of heat. If I make it again I'll make it on the weekend and cook the recipe the bare minimum of 6 hours on low (or get a crockpot with a timer!) As for the other member who asked for the recipe itself, I wouldn't feel right about posting a recipe from a just published book; it wouldn't be fair to the author. Guest guest
It might actually generate sales (I'm sure they don't want the whole book posted but a teaser recipe to a group here and there, I'm sure they might encourage). Besides, how many people can go to their library or heck their large book chain, have a seat and start writing down recipes (not that i'm encouraging this)? Anywho if you've got a problem with copyright issues, you could always switch up a serving size or better yet an ingredient amount. You know - you could tell us 5 cups of salt, instead of " salt to taste " . Or switch it around and say " garlic to taste " instead of what the recipe has listed as, " 2 tsp. garlic " . Anywho just suggestions. I might have to head down to my nearest book chain - they generally let me borrow pens all the time. jk Shawn , " Don " <dbm1963@t...> wrote:I wouldn't feel right about posting a recipe from a > just > published book; it wouldn't be fair to the author. > > Cheers, > Don in Vancouver >
