Guest guest
Interesting question. For me it's a question of degree, but maybe I shouldn't speak here: after all, I eat fish and eggs. If you think of all living beings as part of the same One, it's a question of how " evolved " any one being is. Certainly a worm is not as far along as a human. On the other hand, the Dalai Lama eats meat, so what do we make of that?? my guiding light (sometimes ignored) is to not cause harm. That's why I feel totally comfortable eating organic milk (and therefore cheese) as well as eggs. Fish I have a harder time justifying, but whenever I eat no fish, I don't feel as good. that's my 2 cents, anyway. jeanie zev64 [zev64] Thursday, December 31, 1998 1:55 PM question? dear list, what is the diff of animals and say plants, if we can say that plants can " feel " how can we differentiate them from us then?..care to share your thoughts on these?. thanks.. z e v

Guest guest
I don’t, but some do. As some vegans believe that bees do suffer in producing honey, as it takes a lot of bees a very long time to produce a small quantity of honey, (I do have the statistics somewhere, I will dig them up). It all depends how far you wish to take the vegan lifestyle. Jon On 22/3/03 6:07 pm, " Earthy Lady " <earthylady_39 wrote: Do Vegan's eat honey???? Guest guest
I'm new to the list and need to buy a new slow cooker. I thought I would ask if any brands are better than the others? Also what size would be appropriate for most of the recipes? Thanks, Mary Ann

Guest guest
I use Carrie's bisquick-type master mix (sub extra tapioca starch for the dry milk powder). Mix with enough water for a dough that isn't too sticky to manage. I use a tortilla press with parchment paper, and cook them on a cast iron griddle/frying pan (so I can cook 4 at a time). Very quick and delicious. http://gingerlemongirl.blogspot.com/2008/02/successful-gluten-free-master-baking\ ..html Pam On Fri, Jan 16, 2009 at 2:51 PM, patricia A Pierce <anike_anne42 wrote: > Hey, does anyone know how to make brown rice tortillas or where to buy > them? Guest guest
Yes, as I said, tapioca starch. So you end up with 3 cups tapioca starch instead of 1.5 cups.
