Guest guest
I hope you don't all get this twice, it didn't seems to send the first time : ( Hello All : ) This is my first post here, but I am friends with many of you already! For the longest time, my crockpot scared me. It just didn't seem safe to leave something cooking while I wasn't home. I have this fire phobia : ( But I just had two parties that made me love my crockpot. I put bean soup in the pot hours before the party started and just got everything else ready. Then we had soups with delicious breads. These were the two easiest parties I have ever thrown. I had fun hanging out with people, not getting food ready. The best part was the soups (lentil and black bean with sweet potatoes) were the best I have ever made. The flavors blended to point I had never gotten them to before. So now I am committed to getting over my fear of the crockpot. These soups were cooked before putting them in the pot, so now I would like to experiment with cooking bean soup in the crock. Anyone have any pointers? Will my beans get tender enough? Should the soup be left on high or low? My first try will be split pea soup. I will let you know how it comes out : )

I know it's not a crockpot recipe but it sounds delicious and maybe someone here can say how to do it in a crockpot. Guest guest
Thanks, This isnt a crock pot receipe, but I made it last night and it was so easy and yummy, i have to share. Im a raw food vegan so much of my diet is all raw, veggies. I made a creamy carrot soup. 3 cups fresh carrot juice (I actually bought this, I was lazy, but i got the kind that is freshly made at the healthfood store, not the bottled stuff) 1 whole avocado, nice and ripe some parsley, I put in a bunch. Some crushed garlic (optional) I just blended it a blender and ate it all up, so yummy. It really was creamy. Im sure if you heated it, it would have been good. I put some raw brazil nuts in a cheese grinder and sprinkled that on top as a garnish. Yummy Tara Beth Manchester <pumpkingirl71 wrote: Here is a link to the recipe: http://www.livejournal.com/users/pumpkingirl71/76274.html Hugs from MD Tara proud mom of three great kids Sara 9, Joey 7, and Skylar 5 Discover Stay in touch with email, IM, photo sharing & more.
