Just wondering, does anyone just eat these plain? I have only used them to

season other dishes, like soups, and sauces.

One idea to use them - have you eaten Amy's non-cheese pizza?

It's crust, covered (yum!) in carmelized onions, topped with grilled vegetables.

I used to use them in an ovo-lacto lasagna dish back when I ate that stuff. I'm

sure you could adapt them to that use with a vegan recipe very easily. The

vegan ricotta would be mixed with pureed squash and layered with the

onions and broccoli flowerets, if you get the idea. Tasty and different.

They are also awesome on top of a bed of mixed greens along with

sauteed mushrooms; makes for a great main course salad.

I love carmelized onions on my Italian neatball sandwiches. I also love to eat

them (as well as plain old uncooked onions) alone - very alone since my kids and

dh can't stand my breath after I eat them. :o)

God's Peace,

Gayle
