Guest guest
This sounds delicious and I'd like to try it this weekend but two queries. I only have pot barley. Does anyone know if it would work with pot barley instead of pearl barley. Perhaps I should precook it a bit first but then would I need to adjust the liquid level? Second query: would someone tell me how much a quart is in pints, cups or litres. We don't use quarts in the UK. I'd be grateful for any advice and I'll post how the recipe turns out. thanks Claire In a message dated 05/01/2006 16:39:52 GMT Standard Time, writes: Mushroom Lentil Barley Stew Submitted by: Carol Emory Rated: 4 out of 5 by 7 members Prep Time: 15 Minutes Cook Time: 12 Hours Ready In: 12 Hours 15 Minutes Yields: 8 servings " This crock pot recipe is easy to assemble and needs no attention while it cooks. We don't use quarts in the UK. One quart is about one litre. Lynda Co. Cork, Ireland lyndau
